La solubilité est la quantité maximale de produit que l'on peut dissoudre à une température déterminée dans une quantité de solvant déterminée. Entre le solide et sa solution saturée s'établit un équilibre de dissolution. Le produit de solubilité (Kps) est le produit des concentrations des ions présents à l'équilibre.
